Amaryllis Salon was established in 2014 by Stephanie Runyan McGary.
It is hard to believe, but I have been a hairstylist for over fifteen years after graduating from Paul Mitchell the School-Atlanta in 2008. In those ten years, I have worked in nine salons in both Charleston, South Carolina and Atlanta as both a stylist and assistant to some of the best talent in those cities. In the hair industry, it’s about what you know from who you know; I’ve been lucky to know the best. In addition to my work experience, I train annually in New York at L’Oreal SOHO Academy and in LA at Nine Zero One Salon. I’m a proud Atlanta native and am honored that I can bring the likes and talents of New York and LA to our city.
I see the beauty in each of my clients. My job is to serve women and enhance their beauty when it is sometimes lost in the daily hustle, be it a career, motherhood, divorce, life changes, or simple busyness. It is vital to take care of yourself — your hair, mind, and body. I consider all of my clients to be my friends, and it is of utmost importance to me that they walk into my space, feel good, and also leave feeling good about their hair. Hair color makes the biggest difference in someone’s mood and self-love. It can lighten a complexion or a dark season. We don’t specialize in a particular hair color at Amaryllis Salon because they’re all equally beautiful and unique, but we are proud of our techniques when it comes to color design and foil placement, which doesn’t leave a defined root when there is hair growth between services.
